How BalanceGuru Works
BalanceGuru helps you work on your balance, strength, and mobility from the comfort of home. It begins by understanding where you are today, then recommends exercises and follows your progress over time.
The goal isn’t simply to help you complete exercises. It’s to help you keep doing the everyday things that matter to you.
When you first use BalanceGuru, you’ll answer a few questions about your balance and complete a short assessment activity.
This isn’t a test that you pass or fail. It simply gives BalanceGuru a starting point so that your exercise guidance can better reflect your current abilities.
BalanceGuru uses your starting information to recommend balance and strength exercises suited to your current ability.
You can work through the exercises at home and at your own pace. As you complete more sessions, BalanceGuru can use what it learns about your progress to guide future recommendations.
Place your phone on the stand so its camera has a clear view of your movements. While you exercise, BalanceGuru uses artificial intelligence to understand how your body is moving and provide helpful guidance.
You’re always in control. You can go at your own pace, pause when you need to, or stop at any time.
BalanceGuru brings together information from your initial assessment, your exercise sessions, and how consistently you’re able to practice. This gives you a clearer picture of how you’re doing over time.
Your BalanceGuru Score is a progress tool. It isn’t a medical diagnosis, and it doesn’t predict whether you will or won’t fall. It’s there to help you recognize progress and understand where you may need more practice.
Balance and strength affect much more than exercise. They can support many of the ordinary activities that allow you to live independently.
Progress may mean feeling more confident when you:
Get up from a chair
Walk around your home or neighborhood
Carry groceries
Use stairs
Reach for something on a shelf
Play with your grandchildren
Take part in hobbies and social activities
Move through your day with less worry about falling
Everyone’s goals are different. BalanceGuru is designed to help you work toward the activities that are important to you.
We understand that artificial intelligence can raise questions. That’s especially true when it’s being used in something as personal as your health and well-being.
At BalanceGuru, we use AI for one specific reason: to make your exercise guidance more useful to you. While you exercise, BalanceGuru looks at information about how your body is moving. It uses that information to offer feedback and adjust your exercises as you progress.
The AI isn’t a doctor, and it doesn’t replace your healthcare provider or physical therapist. It’s simply one of the tools we use to help you work on your balance and strength at your own pace.
And that work isn’t just about getting better at exercises. It’s about making everyday life easier, like getting up from a chair, walking with more confidence, carrying groceries, spending time with your grandchildren, or continuing to do whatever matters most to you. Those everyday moments are what independence is really about.
You’re always in control of when you use BalanceGuru and when you want to stop. We believe technology is most valuable when it helps people stay active, confident, and independent.
We want you to understand what information BalanceGuru uses and why. The BalanceGuru App Privacy Notice explains what information the app collects, how that information is used and protected, what may be stored, and the choices available to you.
We encourage you to review that information before deciding whether to use BalanceGuru. If you have questions, you can contact us at info@balanceguru.ai.
You don’t have to understand how artificial intelligence works to benefit from BalanceGuru. The app is designed to guide you one step at a time.
We believe technology is most useful when it helps people remain active, confident, and independent. That’s what BalanceGuru is here to do.
We’re preparing a limited six-week at-home beta program for adults age 50 and older. Participants will use BalanceGuru at home and share feedback that will help us improve the experience.
